Our primary purpose is capital management and deployment, but in certain situations we may take on an advisory role when a strategic element exists. We tend to use low leverage and mitigate risk, due to our long-term investment horizon.

We acquire commercial real estate assets in markets in the Southeastern United States that have population inflow, and primarily focus on various industrial and retail categories whether stabilized, value-add, or land. We are hands-on investors, handling asset and property management, as well as construction projects.

We acquire and invest in operating companies that have a proven track record of cash flow and organic growth, and strong leadership. We intend to hold all of our companies for a very long duration, focusing on culture, employee opportunities, and increasing cash flow.

Our experience in venture capital is both as founders and incubators, as well as investors, advisors, and board members. We have seen companies raise too much money, too little, too early, and too late. Our primary focus in this space is with companies who are focused on becoming cash flow positive.

We believe deeply in entrepreneurship, and the impact it can have in lives and communities. We have supported entrepreneurs with listening, advice, connections, and capital. We have encouraged, discouraged, and even hired entrepreneurs and given them a business to run.

On occasion we will invest as an LP in a fund with a financial sponsor, however this is not our primary investment thesis, as we prefer hands-on involvement through direct investment to achieve our long-term goals.

We will work in an advisory role on a very selective basis without deploying capital, if we can help and if there is strategic rationale. We bring expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, capital structure, strategy, governance, organization, and technology, working directly with CEOs or having a Board seat.

Our two forms of capital are time and money, and for us these often go hand in hand. We seek to make an impact in our communities and beyond, and partner with organizations and individuals on the front lines of the causes most important to us.
